About Jeanette:
A captivating dancer of dramatic passion, Jeanette's performance is a melding of American styling with classical Egyptian musicality. Her fiery grace and fluidity of movement is demonstrated in liquid veil and flamboyant sword dances. Her sense of humor and play are often highlighted in light-hearted dances, as well as masterful audience interaction.

Jeanette's greatest influences in dance are those that she most studied with such as; Amaya, Bert Baladine, Elena Lentini and Mahmood Reda. Her first solo performance at the University of Texas Student Union with the Mirage Belly Dance Troupe was with veil in hand. As she says, she needed something to hold to - she was so nervous. She has graced stages far and wide... from Dimebox, Texas to Ixtapa, Mexico!

Jeanette produced the "Shimmy Into Spring" and "Shimmy Into September" workshops from the late 1980s to 2001, and hosted the legendary dancer Aziz in Austin in 2019. She is the producer and hostess of the monthly Carousel Caravan bellydance show - now in its 29th year. She currently teaches classes in her home studio "Full Moon Studio" and taught for the University of Texas Informal Class Program for over 20 years. Jeanette has been a featured workshop instructor at numerous bellydance events and festivals throughout the USA. She is also an instructor with Lifetime Learning Institute of Austin, and Aging Is Cool.
Jeanette lives by the philosophy of “Dance Hard. Live Easy!"
